
Crispy Orange Tofu
This recipe is another one of my fake-outs. This is a healthier, vegetarian version of Orange Chicken. The tofu is crispy and the sauce is sweet and tangy. And my favourite part is this recipe comes together in less than 30 minutes making it a perfect weeknight meal.
Ingredients for Orange Sauce
- One prepared recipe of my Crispy Tofu
- 1 cup orange juice
- 4 tablespoons coconut aminos
- ½ teaspoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon chili paste
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 3 tablespoons arrowroot powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Ingredients for Serving
- 4 servings, brown rice prepared
- 4 tablespoons sesame seeds toasted
- 3 green onions, sliced
Step 1: Instruction for the Orange Sauce
Combine the orange juice, coconut aminos, sesame oil, chili paste, fish sauce, ginger and arrowroot powder in a bowl and whisk. Add to a hot medium frying pan and heat until thickened.
Step 2: Instructions for Preparing the Tofu
Add the tofu and steamed sugar snap peas to the orange sauce and stir to combine.
Step 3: Instructions for Serving
Serve over brown rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy!
