Savoury Stuffed Dates
These Savoury Stuffed Dates make the perfect appetizer for a dinner party. Soft, sweet dates are stuffed with tangy, creamy goats cheese, topped with salty, crunchy almonds and drizzled with warm honey. These dates also work well on top of a simple green salad.
Ingredients:
- 12 medjool dates, sliced in half lengthways
- ½ cup goat cheese
- ¼ cup almonds, roasted and roughly chopped
- 2 tablespoon warm liquid honey
- 3 sprigs of thyme, leaves removed
Instructions for the Stuffed Dates:
On a large serving platter arrange the dates. Gently stuff each date with a teaspoon of goat cheese. Sprinkle the stuffed dates with almonds and thyme. Drizzle with honey. I like to serve this as an hors d’oeuvre with a yummy glass of Pinot Noir. Enjoy!
